Analogy Hour: The Perfect Pumpkin

Welcome to a very special Vancouver chapter of 'Analogy Hour.' Yesterday (since it was my grandma's birthday) my two cousins and my aunt and uncle surprised her. She didn't know that they were coming. Today, she wants to take all four grandchildren to a pumpkin patch near her house. That got me thinking....

When you go to the pumpkin patch, you look at all the pumpkins. You look at the fat ones, skinny ones, scarrred ones, tall ones, short ones; you look at them all. You want to find the perfect pumpkin. And then you find it. It has no scars, it's a perfect height and length, it's perfectly round and orange. It's the perfect pumpkin.

That perfect pumpkin is like Jesus. Everyone looks at all types of different "religions." People look at T.V., money, world religions, drugs, and anything that they can "worship." But, they all have flaws. Some of them, literally ruin you life. Others, make you a very unhappy person. Others, still, misguide you in life. None of them can satisfy you. The perfect pumpkin is Jesus. He is the only pumpkin that has no flaws, no caniving scheme to ruin you life, He is the only pumpkin that can satisfy. Today, or even this Halloween, choose the Perfect Pumpkin.
