O Canada

Hello, readers. I know that today is not Remembrance Day, but my family attended a Remembrance Day service at an elementary school close to our home, because my dad was asked to say a prayer. We sang 'O Canada,' Canada's theme song. Recently, I found out that there is more than one verse to 'O Canada.' There are actually 4. I pasted the 2 most important verses- 1 and 4.

O Canada! our home and native land!
True patriot-love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
And stand on guard, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.

Ruler Supreme! who hearest humble prayer,
Hold thy Dominion in thy loving care;
Help us to find, Oh God, in thee,
A lasting rich reward.
As waiting for the Better Day,
We ever stand on guard.

My church family sang these two verses on Sunday. I would like to ask you to read the second verse again. The verse should be not only our country's anthem, but our own personal anthem. The verse is all true. God is 'Ruler Supreme.' He does hear our prayers. We need to ask Him to hold our country (Dominion) in His care. We need God's help to find a rich reward in Him. And waiting for 'A Better Day' we need to definitely stand on guard.
