C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S

Merry Christmas, readers. Only 3 more days until the big day is here! Here's a Christmas acrostic to brighten your cold, winter day.

C- Christ the Saviour is born. Jesus was born to die. He is the reason for this holiday. He is the reason that we are all excited over this upcoming Friday. Keep Christ in Christmas.
H- Honour God this season. It's easy to lose sight of Jesus during the busiest time of year. It's also a great time to honour God. We can give Him back just a microscopic piece of what He gave us.
R- Remember the Reason for the season. It's Jesus! During this busy time of year, we need to remember that the only reason we celebrate Christmas is because of Christ's birth. He didn't come to give us a holiday, though. He came to die for our sins and rise again.
I- "I" is the ninth letter of the alphabet. Alpha (Jesus Christ) is the first. Let's try to remember that this season is not about us, it's about Him.
S- Sing Christmas carols. Everybody loves a good round of "Jingle Bells," but what about songs like "Silent Night" or "Away in a Manger?" Did you know that they are singing praises to Jesus (if you really are praising) as much as singing "Amazing Grace?" Let's sing praises to our King this holiday season.
T- Tell others about Jesus' gift and sacrifice. There's no time like Christmas to share God's love with others. You can tell a friend, relative, school mate, co-worker, or a complete stranger about Jesus. You can point out the Reason for the season.
M- Make the manger a top priority on your list this year. If we forget where it all began, there is no point even celebrating CHRIST-mas.
A- Adore Him. Let's praise and thank our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Reason for the season. He is the best Gift-Giver. He is the perfect example of love.
S- Say you're sorry to God. You may say that this doesn't quite fit in on a Christmas Acrostic Board, but I would gently correct you. This season, everyone gets a little touchy one time or another. Confessing seems like a good thing this season. God will always forgive us.
