Ah, fall is in the air. September dawning yesterday. Leaves beginning to turn a deep, burnt gold. Air thick with that smoky, autumn smell. Back-to-school sales. And of course - school starting. Routines beginning again. Normal life is back. No more lazy summer days. Sigh. I'll miss summer, but actually I'm glad to be heading back to school in a week, getting back to my typical routines. Getting back to schedules. One schedule that I started yesterday is my Bible reading schedule.
I don't know if you use a Bible reading plan, but I would highly recommend. There are pros and cons to it, but I think that the pros outweigh the cons, at least for me. You might find that the cons outweigh the pros for you, though. Or, maybe you have no idea what I'm talking about. This is the Bible reading plan I use: Bethlehem Baptist Church Bible Reading Plan.
The plan I use goes through the Bible in one year. I read from four different passages a day, each passage marked with a bookmark. My brother is using a plan right now that goes through the Bible in three years.
Whether you use a Bible reading plan or not, Jesus must be the focus
