For those of you who keep watch on the Nova Scotia weather, you'll know that we're going through a bit of a heat wave here. Today we're supposed to hit 34* Celsius (94* Fahrenheit). Yesterday, someone told me that it hit 107* Fahrenheit (42* Celsius). Which is why I write this post with a hugely open window behind me and a fan blowing on my face. Before Bible Study last night, we were mindlessly chatting about the weather. Someone said is was so hot, but someone else commented that we were gonna cool off on the weekend. That brought a few chuckles, because, if you didn't know, Hurricane Earl is headed straight for Nova Scotia. Sigh. It seems that right now, we're in the extremes of weather. Earl is a Category 4 hurricane with winds of up to 230 kilometers an hour. But .... I have good news. According to CBC News, "There is a 40 to 50 per cent chance Earl will make landfall in Nova Scotia."
