Mom and I both agree that it feels like Christmas has passed. Like it's come and gone and we're only left with the sugary crumbs, warm memories, and somewhat depressed spirits. But I think that always happens just a few days before Christmas. You drop to your Christmas down, and within a few more days, you'll be up on a Christmas high again. Then Christmas will arrive and afterwards, it really will be over. But you see, after Christmas has passed, we really shouldn't feel any sadness. We should just continue rejoicing, for that is what what Christmas is about! Rejoicing in the birth and death of our Saviour, Jesus Christ! We don't rejoice in the presents, the tree, the decorations, the turkey, the lights. We rejoice in Christ. When those dreary, grey winter days of January, February, and March come upon us, we should still be rejoicing. Let's not let feelings of sadness dictate us before or after Christmas, for our Messiah has come! And He has bled and died for His people's sins and set them free! So rejoice, my friends!
"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice." Philippians 4:4
