Countdown to Christmas: 14 Days Until Christmas

I was supposed to be on TV tomorrow morning. Well, technically I was supposed to be filmed this afternoon to be aired on TV tomorrow. And not just me, but the whole cast of project ARC, to perform a scene from our show on CTV Morning Live. Then, another cast member and I would be interviewed by the host of Morning Live. Unfortunately, when we got to the studio, a camera person was running late, so though we filmed the scene, there was no way we could do the interview. Now, we won't be aired tomorrow morning, not until we get the interview done, which we're hoping will happen sometime next week!

I admit, I was a little disappointed. I was so looking forward to the interview and then to seeing myself on TV tomorrow! But it was instead just another reminder that I'm not in control. I can make all the plans and preparation I want, but if the Lord doesn't want something to happen at a certain time, ain't nothin' gonna make it happen!

As it gets closer to Christmas, and everybody's oh so busy with holiday activities, plans will get rearranged. And sometimes it will mess us up, throw us for a bit of a loop. But God's in control. He's completely sovereign over every little, minuscule detail in our life from shopping to baking to concerts to performing on TV!

So hopefully next week I will be on TV, but it's all in the Lord's hands! Let's keep focused on that the Lord's  in control, and in this Christmas season, let's draw hope from that!
