Here's a few edifying links I've rounded up over the month. I do realize that some are related to Valentine's Day, and, yes, Valentine's Day has passed, but they are too good not to share.
I Bought Some Joy (But Dropped It Down the Stairs) - Tim Challies writes about idolatry today compared to the idolatry from Bible times. In reality, it's not that much different.
The Truth (About Abortion) Will Set You Free - This is an incredible article by John Piper. With so much talk on abortion right now, this is a must-read, not because it contains any eye-opening revelations but because it simply shares the facts and a few (not graphic) pictures of life.
Anyone Can Fall in Love - This is a two-week Valentine's Day challenge from the Lies Young Women Believe blog. I started participating until I got sick, but I fully intend to start up again once I'm healthy. It's not specifically Valentine's, so that's why I'm sharing it.
How's Your Bible Reading Going? - "January has come and gone. A little more than 8 percent of 2013 has already passed. Now is an especially good time to ask ourselves (and each other!) how our personal Bible reading is going."
The Football Player Who Ended His Career to Assist His Sick Fiancee - This story is definitely one of the most beautiful, amazing posts I've read this month. What can I say but read it! And while we're still on the theme of love, here's a neat article from CBC about a couple who met as teenagers in a Nazi concentration camp and reunited years later in Toronto.
A Mean Prank - If this happened to me, I'd go crazy. But it's amusing to watch it happen to other people. We're sick people.
Pictures of the Sun - These are really neat!
