Let's Talk About Children!

Why, you ask? Because tomorrow is the U.S.A.'s official Children's Day. Yes, in amazing America, they have a Children's Day. What I want to talk about today, concerning children, is an incident with Jesus. I want to look at a time that Jesus talked about children.

13 Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people, 14but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven." 15And he laid his hands on them and went away. - Matt. 19:13-15

This is a famous time that Jesus told the disciples to "...let the little children come to me". Jesus' disciples didn't want the children bothering Jesus. What did Jesus say to that: "....do not hinder them, for to such belong the kingdom of heaven." Jesus wanted the kids to come to Him. Jesus still wants the children to come to Him. The song below is so true:

Jesus calls the children dear, “Come to me and never fear, For I love the little children of the world; I will take you by the hand, Lead you to the better land, For I love the little children of the world.”
Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black and white,
All are precious in His sight,
Jesus loves the little children of the world.
Jesus is the Shepherd true,
And He’ll always stand by you,
For He loves the little children of the world;
He’s a Savior great and strong,
And He’ll shield you from the wrong,
For He loves the little children of the world.
I am coming, Lord, to Thee,
And Your soldier I will be,
For You love the little children of the world;
And Your cross I’ll always bear,
And for You I’ll do and dare,
For You love the little children of the world.
