Hi everyone! My mom, my brother, and I all arrived safely here in Vancouver. Thanks to everyone for your prayers.
Last night, when we did our family's last family devotions, my dad chose a special verse. It was Joshua 1:9: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." -Joshua 1:9
My dad focused on the last part- "...for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Isn't that a neat thought? God is with us wherever we go. That reminds me of Psalm 139:7-12. Some of you might remember a song that I sang in May that illustrated Psalm 139. I pasted the lyrics below.
I thought that you were a mystery
'Till one who knew, you helped me to see.
It was a time of discovery.
I heard your voice calling me.
I am with you wherever you go.
I am with you; you are never alone.
I am with you; your heart is my home.
My child I am with you.
So if I go to a distant land
And my life isn't all I planned
You keep me safe in you mighty hand.
I hear you say once again.
If I go up to the heavens, you are there.
If I go down to the depths, you are there.
Your hand will guide me.
You will hold onto me with you right hand.
