Well folks, Easter is over. Time to pack up the stuffed bunnies. Time to make up those leftover ham or turkey sandwiches. Time to be rid of the chocolate bunnies (as if). Time to throw out the rotten eggs. And time to forget about church until next year. Easter is over .... isn't it?
To that I say, Ha! Ha! Ha! Easter is over? Not a chance. Christians should be celebrating Easter every single day. No, you don't have to keep the rotten eggs until your family throws themselves at your feet, begging you to throw them out. But you should be keeping the most important part of Easter alive in your heart. What's the most important part of Easter though? Not the chocolate, and not the bunnies. It's Jesus! Jesus' death & resurrection. He died on the cross for you and me out of love. He rose again and proved His power over death. If Jesus stayed dead, we would be worshiping a dead guy. Doesn't sound too beneficial, huh? But Jesus didn't stay dead! He arose from the grave and conquered sin and death and is very much alive.
Jesus' death set us free (Romans 8:2) from condemnation. But we have to choose for Christ to set us free. By:
