Good morning, readers. Today I want to talk a bit about the light of the gospel. If you go to my church (Gospel Light Baptist Church) you may think I'm going to talk about the church. Well, sorry, I'm not. I'm going to talk about 2 Corinthians 4:1-6.I love this passage. It talks about what believers have, the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ. Paul is writing another letter to the Corinthians here. We see in verse 4 that many people back then and still today are blinded from seeing the light of the gospel. My favourite verse here is verse 5: For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. What we say is not from us. What my dad (the pastor of GLBC) says is not from him. It is from Jesus Christ and Him alone. We preach Him, we live Him, we love Him, that should be our life. But sadly, many times it is not. That is our life's goal, though, to shine the light of the gospel.
