Only 100 Days Until Christmas!-Part 3

Welcome, readers, to the third installment of my 'ways to prepare for the Savior's birthday before the celebration.'
  • Sing Christmas carols before Christmas
This means singing Silent Night in church. I'm not telling you to order your music leader to play Christmas songs in September. I am telling you that many Christmas carols (i.e. Joy to the World, O Come All Ye Faithful, Hark the Herald, Silent Night) tell great messages that can be sung before Christmas. I think that in churches today, we think that Christmas and other holiday songs shouldn't be sung until the actual holiday. (My church doesn't think that.) Songs that tell of God's mighty deeds should be sung, and not just on Christmas. Psalm 61:18 says that we should sing praises to God day after day. Plenty of Christmas carols tell of great things that God had done.

So in conclusion, if you can praise God through singing a Christmas carol, (which you can) then I would urge you not to wait until Christmas to sing a certain praise song.

Joy to the World , the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.
