Daddy's Daughter: Insights on My Dad's Sermon

Today's sermon was a New Year's message, entitled Living for the Glory of God's Name in 2011. What does that mean, though? To live for the glory of God's name? It means to rejoice, to praise, to live only for and to worship God and His glory. This post is short, the message is simple. I don't know if you make New Year's resolutions, but whether you do or don't, I think we should all make this resolution for the year 2011: to live not for ourselves, to live not for sin, but to live for God. He's the only reason we're here. He created us, He chose us, and He will protect us. So let's be like David in 1 Chronicles 16:29 and, "Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness."
